World Fencing League
As part of its global launch strategy, the World Fencing League (WFL) partnered with RWS Global to deliver its inaugural event—introducing a reimagined format of fencing to a modern, global audience.
RWS Global acted as both strategic and delivery partner, leading development from concept through to live execution. This included defining the event framework and shaping a sport presentation model aligned across competition, broadcast, and entertainment.
We delivered a fully integrated event environment, including complete venue technical overlay, including video, audio, and lighting, and end-to-end in-venue and broadcast production. This was underpinned by PV4 graphics, a bespoke vision content package, and a dedicated broadcast studio.
The sport presentation redefined traditional fencing through lighting, music, athlete profiling, and choreographed match build-ups—enhanced by integrations with Dentsu (blade tracking), AllezGo (right-of-way indicators), and Allstar scoring systems, alongside full competition infrastructure delivery. This approach improved officiating clarity and strengthened audience understanding.
Fan engagement was central to the experience, supported by media day content capture, custom video featuring Keegan-Michael Key, and a Swizz Beatz collaboration to create a distinctive event soundtrack. Live entertainment, including the USC Trojan Marching Band, sat alongside curated hospitality, a full merchandise range, and integrated venue branding—designed to maximise engagement and commercial return.
From strategic consultancy and scheduling through to ceremony production, marketing support, and real-time content creation, RWS Global delivered an end-to-end solution that supported broader marketing objectives and established a scalable foundation for future growth.
The result was a successful debut event that launched the World Fencing League onto the global stage, demonstrating a new, commercially viable model for presenting fencing as an entertainment-driven sport.
