Finni on board: Mein Schiff expands family programme on the Mein Schiff Flow
Hamburg, 28 May 2025. With the commissioning of Mein Schiff Flow, the second ship in the InTUItion class, TUI Cruises is expanding its family offering on board for the first time with a Kids-Club character created especially for the company. Named after his fins, the Finns, the newest crew member Finni will in future accompany the family programme on the youngest member of the fleet and will be present in various formats for children and families.
In collaboration with RWS Global, the world leader in groundbreaking live moments across entertainment and sports, the concept for the new character has been developed over the last few months with great attention to detail. With the introduction of the new Mein Schiff character, the family experience on board the youngest member of the fleet is to be emotionalised and shaped even more strongly.
The new family programme includes a family game show, a family disco with Finni as DJ and an interactive treasure hunt. “Every moment is an adventure with Finni,” says Patrick Zils, Hotel Operations Manager – Family Services, “from exciting trips around the world to exuberant family discos and fascinating quiz moments full of curious facts. With our new programme items, we want to create unforgettable experiences for the whole family.”
A highlight: Finni presents her own song and invites the guests on board the Mein Schiff Flow to dance and sing together. New Finni merchandise products will also be available exclusively onboard Mein Schiff Flow in the Neuer Wall.
“With Finni, we are creating a unique character for our family programme for the first time in the history of TUI Cruises,” says Christin Boos, Head of Hotel Operations. “We are delighted to be able to present Finni to the guests of Mein Schiff Flow from the first welcome voyage and are very excited to see how he will be received, especially by our younger guests.”
“We’re proud to kick off our relationship with Mein Schiff with the debut of Finni, reflecting our commitment to best-in-class character development and installation,” said Ryan Fitzgerald, EVP Sea Production at RWS Global. “By bringing Finni to life, we’ve crafted an immersive, story-driven experience onboard that sleamlessly blends into Mein Schiff’s identity. We’re excited to continue building on this collaboration.”
For the time being, Finni is exclusively at home on Mein Schiff Flow. On the other ships in the fleet, Capt’n Sharky continues to enjoy visits from pirates big and small.
