High Season Children’s Activity Host | Marella Cruises
Led by the M-Club Manager, the Children’s (M Club) Hosts will assist the Cruise Director in delivering a fun, modern and varied children’s entertainment program, whilst providing excellent childcare onboard a specified Marella cruise ship.
The entertainment department consists of a team of Entertainment Hosts, Production Cast Members, a Technical Manager and team of Technicians, a Children’s Host Team, as well as a Musical Director and team of Resident Musicians. In addition to all resident Crew/Officers within the Entertainment Department, fly on/off Guest Entertainers will also join the department’s complement each week.
As a member of the Children’s Entertainment Team, you will be providing an excellent childcare service and hosting/leading events and activities for the younger passengers on board, such as quizzes, games, sports, competitions, poolside events, arts & crafts, treasure hunts, dancing, sensory play, and participating in the sail away and deck parties. The age groups catered for on board will be ‘Babytainment’ for the under 3’s, 3-7’s, 8-11’s, and teenage specific activities for the 12-17’s.
Supporting other departments with the general operation of the ship may also be required of you, where your childcare duties allow (as directed by the M Club Manager and Assistant Cruise Director).
As a member of the Entertainment Department, a child-specific position of responsibility will be held with regards to emergency procedures, guest mustering and drills; specific training will be received regarding this on board.

Roles and Responsibilities:
– To deliver and promote the children’s entertainment and childcare package to an exceptionally high standard.
– To enthusiastically host/lead events and activities for the younger passengers on board, such as quizzes, games, sports, competitions, poolside events, arts & crafts, treasure hunts, dancing, sensory play, and participating in the sail away and deck parties. The age groups catered for on board will be ‘Babytainment’ for the under 3’s, 3-7’s, 8-11’s, and teenage specific activities
for the 12-17’s.
– To develop new skills.
– Admin duties may be required from time to time, as instructed by the M Club Manager.
– To create and enhance the younger guest’s experience on board.
– To uphold and exceed venue expectations.
– To ensure standards, product and your professional behavior is at the highest level of the company.
– Assist the hotel operation; where required and as instructed by the Senior Entertainment Host.
– To ensure your appearance and grooming guidelines are maintained at all times.
– To uphold the standards set out in your training.
– A position of onboard responsibility will be held with regards to emergency procedures, guest mustering and drills (full training received on board).
