RWS Global is hosting auditions seeking FEATURED VOCALISTS for MAJOR FOURTH CANTARÉ productions aboard HOLLAND AMERICA LINE.

SEEKING: Union and non-union performers. Prior theater or other live entertainment experience required.

MAJOR FOURTH

This company will perform intricate harmonies in multiple, elevated productions that include songs for every generation. All vocalists should embody the stylings and characteristics of a “pop star,” i.e. magnetic, charismatic, and be able to command the stage. Must be able to engage with the audience and work as a team player. Movement required.

F1 – Flexible clean pop sound (site reading required)

M1 – Tenor (up to C5)

M2 – Pop Tenor

M3 – Lead of the group -Tenor extension

CANTARÉ

Seeking exceptional vocalists for male vocal quartet touring exclusively on Holland America Line. The productions will maximize what audiences come to expect from a classic male vocal group, presenting innovative vocal arrangements of pop hits. The shows call for leading men that can hold the stage and command an audience.

MALE BARI-TONES/TENORS – Male presenting vocalists (both baritones and tenors), any ethnicity, ranging from early 20’s to late 40’s. Must have excellent pop/rock voices with the ability to hold tight harmonies in the style of an all-male vocal group. Must have excellent vocal styling in the B2 to G4 range and be able to move well. Must also be able to command a stage and massage a song. Strong falsetto also a plus.

MALE TENOR 1 – Male presenting vocalists, any ethnicity, ranging from early 20’s to late 40’s. Must have excellent pop/rock voices with the ability to hold tight harmonies in the style of an all-male vocal group. Must have excellent vocal styling in the B2 to E5 range and be able to move well. Must also be able to command a stage and massage a song. A strong belt to B4 and a free sounding falsetto in the A4 to E5 range is required.

MALE TENOR 2 – Male presenting vocalists, any ethnicity, ranging from early 20’s to late 40’s. Must have excellent pop/rock voices with the ability to hold tight harmonies in the style of an all-male vocal group. Must have excellent vocal styling in the B2 to A4 range and be able to move well. Must also be able to command a stage and massage a song. A strong belt to A4 is required. Free sounding falsetto in the A4 to E5 range is a plus.

Performers can be Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian/Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern/North African/South Asian and/or white, as well as inclusive of all gender identities.

CONTRACT INFORMATION:

Varied start dates through 2024. Travel, lodging and competitive salary provided.

Performers will enjoy guest privileges onboard, private cabin and access to guest amenities when not performing, free from any duties related to a “crew member” status.

RATE: Onboard minimum $1,400 /week.

All performers must have a valid passport (or be able to acquire one), will need to obtain necessary visas for international travel to the US and abroad and must be fully vaccinated + boosted for Covid-19.

AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS:

Please prepare two contrasting 32-bar cuts of a contemporary pop/rock vocal selections and bring a headshot and resume stapled back-to-back. Contemporary music theater selections also permitted. Must provide sheet music in

the correct key. An accompanist will be provided. Singer/Instrumentalists may choose to self-accompany on one of the two audition selections, should they wish.

Please note that select auditionees may be asked to return for a movement/dance call later in the day; please bring appropriate shoes/attire if called back.
