RWS is hosting auditions seeking SINGERS for … & COMPANY aboard HOLLAND AMERICA LINE.

Please note that these opportunities are located within the US and abroad. Travel is required.

… & Company is a new stage experience that puts a contemporary spin on the era of classic variety entertainment. Told through 4 original concert style productions, 3 headliners will be backed by 6 charismatic & versatile ensemble dancers that can find the camera and reach the audience.

SEEKING: Union and non-union performers. Must be 18 years of age or older to audition. Prior theater or other live entertainment experience preferred.

Female Identifying Singer/Actor 1: Lead, female-identifying, late 20s-late 40s. Pop vocalist with convincing movement ability; a true entertainer. The role is based on headliner types including Bette Midler, Kylie Minogue, Tina Turner, & Marie Osmond. Dripping with star-quality, presence, and depth—with just the right amount of wit and schtick. We’re particularly interested in submissions from artists who can command an audience for an entire set, developing a relationship with them through both song and direct address. Note: The role is based on headliner types including Bette Midler, Kylie Minogue, Tina Turner, Liza Minelli & Marie Osmond. This is not an impersonation track/show.

Male Identifying Singer/Actor 1: Lead, male-identifying, late 20s-late 40s. Bari-tenor/tenor with convincing movement ability. A true song and dance man. Should possess charisma, presence, and depth—full of showmanship and charm. We’re particularly interested in submissions from artists who can command an audience for an entire set/show, developing a relationship with an audience through both song and direct address. Note: This role is inspired by performer types like Hugh Jackman, Peter Allen, & Clint Holmes. This is not an impersonation track/show.

Male Identifying Singer/Actor 2: Lead, male-identifying, late 20s-late 40s. Bari-tenor/tenor with dance ability; comes off as a sidekick character. Should possess charisma, presence, and depth—with just the right amount of wit and schtick. We’re particularly interested in submissions from artists who can command an audience for an entire set, developing a relationship with them through both song and direct address. Note: The role is based on Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Lane, & Ben Vereen types. This is not an impersonation track/show.

Performers can be Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian/Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern/North African/South Asian, and/or white, as well as inclusive of all gender identities.

CONTRACT INFORMATION:

Varied start dates through 2023 & 2024. Travel, lodging, and competitive salary provided.

All performers must have a valid passport (or be able to acquire one), will need to obtain necessary visas for international travel to the US and abroad, and must be fully vaccinated + boosted for Covid-19.

AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS

SINGERS: Prepare 2 contrasting Cabaret Style performance pieces showcasing your personality and vocal range (musical theatre preferred for your first piece). Please note our reference artists (i.e. Hugh Jackman, Neil Patrick Harris, Liza Minelli, Bette Midler).

The contract for our headliners (singers) is guest entertainer status. This is the perfect opportunity for seasoned entertainers to develop pieces for their own acts.

Please prepare the material below in addition. Male identifying performers should choose the role that fits them best or prepare both roles if you’d like. An accompanist will be provided. Bring a headshot & resume stapled back-to-back.
